A peek at our living room!

I’ve started sharing pictures of the house on Instagram (@livesweetphotography) as I finish different parts and so many of you have requested a tour! I am so honored that you are all loving my style so much and although I have not had a chance to do a video tour yet I thought I would put together a bunch of the pictures for you to see here!

When designing the house I wanted to create a whimsical, eclectic, homey space! Our furniture has been pulled from all different places. Some of it we had from the old house and studio, some is from thrift stores, some from Homegoods and some from websites like Joss and Main and One Kings Lane. It is all unique and one of a kindish which is what I love! I spray paint or repaint a lot of the pieces I get to make them even more unique and special to our space.

All the doors in our home are painted different and most are different designs and have different funky door knobs! The door knobs are from Anthropologie and a friend of mine who is an amazing artist (Jessica Kollar) painted them all for us!

Being that I am a photographer and lover of pictures and my babies my walls, benches, tables and shelves are all covered with gallery wraps and frames! I love to showcase our pictures as art work because to me there is nothing more precious than looking at sweet memories on my wall of my family!!

Our house is first and foremost a home and a place for us to love and cuddle! There are blankets on every chair and they all get used! We love to invite friends and family into our home on a weekly and daily basis! We have an open door our home is your home policy and there is almost never a day that goes by that we don’t welcome others we love into it! God has blessed us in amazing ways and we want to share our blessings with others by creating a loving enviroment for them!

This is my favorite wall! I spray painted that branch and used Love Mae fabric stickers combined with lots of favorite pieces of art and pictures of my babies! It took me several months to get it just the way I wanted it, but now I am smitten!

We had the honor of having the fabulous Joy Prouty photograph our family here on our property which also happens to be the land I grew up on! This was a dream come true for me and I will forever cherish the images and this time that she capture us!

I knew I want big barn doors to separate the living room from the studio, but the question is where does one find big barn doors?! My wonderful ended up coming to the rescue and made these awesome doors for me just the way I wanted them! I am so in love with how they turned out, they complete the space perfectly!
